Brass back section of a 6th corps badge has a darkened patina. Reverse features original soldered attachment pin and hook. There are also four small holes on edges of badge. Missing is piece of cloth that would have been affixed to the front with color designation as to the Division the soldier served in, as well as a metal piece that would have served as a border and held the cloth in place.

Corps badges became a great source of regimental pride to the men who wore them.

Measures 1 ½” across x 1 ½” high.

Excellent collectible.  Recovered in the greater Richmond, VA area.    [SM]
