.54 CALIBER “HARPERS FERRY SLUG”

$20.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 883-407

Excavated .54 caliber elongated bullet for the Mississippi rifle. Since the moulds were made at the Harpers Ferry Arsenal, some Confederate ordnance officers referred to these as “Harpers Ferry slugs.” This is a solid bullet with a pointy nose. There is a visible sprue “nip” on the base. Good, clean specimen with very nice mould seems and a white patina.     [jet]
