Here is a small piece of wood containing a fired Civil War bullet, the remains of a tree that was in the line of fire during the Battle of Bentonville, North Carolina.  The piece measures about 2” long by 1 ½” at its widest point. The bullet is well embedded in the piece of wood. The wood is stable.  A relic from one of the last battles of the Civil War.  [jet]
