Recovered from the site of the Battle of Peachtree Creek, Atlanta Campaign - 7/20/1864. Mounted on light oak board, 8 x 20. 75”, w/bust photos of W.T. Sherman & John Bell Hood, 2.25 x 2.75”, the adversarial commanders. The Whitney frame, missing its trigger guard, is complemented by an attractively stained reproduction handle. Mounting board exhibits slight wear. Else VG. Solid Battle of Peachtree Creek collectible.  [jp]
