This is an excavated infantry officer’s cap insignia in the shape of a French horn.  Made of stamped brass featuring a false embroidered appearance.  Measures 3” wide.  In excellent “dug” condition with no bends or folds. No loops remain on back.  A perfect specimen.   [jet]
