Excavated “clipped corner” belt plate. Dark green-brown mixed patina. Retains very good shape as most sheet brass plates were susceptible to bends and folds. This specimen exhibits only the slightest bends. Back of plate shows faint solder marks and has digger's name written in black marker. A very nice example of this fragile style of belt plate. [jet]
