Offered here is the clipped-corner, brass plate that was worn on the shoulder harness. It would have had two brass tubes mounted on the front to hold drum sticks. A rusty stain on the back shows where the iron belt hooks were once attached. The brass has a nice “dug” patina. Recovered in Virginia. [jet]
