This is a dug example of a CS army general service button as worn on the uniforms of Confederate soldiers. The brass, coat-size button is of two-piece construction with a border. Button exhibits an even dark brown patina. 23 mm. Button exhibits the letters “C. S. A.” all displayed on a plain, unlined field. A push to the face has rendered this nearly flat. Back side with flattened shank. Has a lightly stamped backmark of “SUPERIOR QUALITY”. Tice #CSG203A3.
This original Confederate Army General Service button is an excellent “CSA” relic. [jet]
