Large Riker case (12” x 16”) filled with remains of a Massachusetts jacket. Excavated near New Bern, NC. Included is a significant pile of material remains of a Civil War coat, mostly in scraps, with five Massachusetts buttons. Buttons are in rough shape but are what they are.
A newspaper article about the find is included. A truly unusual find. [jet]
