Robert Parrott patented this projectile on August 20, 1861, patent #33,100. Parrott was the Superintendent of the West Point Foundry at Cold Spring, New York, in the 1860's.

Solid iron bolt, excavated, with light pitting overall. Uncoated and in nice condition.  [jet]
