Confederate 12-pounder spherical case shot for smoothbore cannons. The fuse adapter is gone. Lead “side-loader” plug remains. Iron surface is clean and smooth; exceptional condition for a “dug” relic. Masking tape around shell reads, “Civil War cannon ball found on Paynes Farm Locast Grove Virginia across from Zoar Church”.
