This is the long pattern Parrott time fuse adapter. This style features a top flange with two spanner wrench holes, a middle portion with threads (12 threads to the inch) and an extended lower portion which has a slight taper. A central hole running through is where the paper time fuse was placed by the gunner.
Measures 2.46” long and 1.28” in diameter across the top flange.
This is an excavated specimen and being made of zinc, now has an oatmeal-colored patina. Very good condition with no nicks or dings. Mold seams visible on sides. Previously in the Wendell Lang collection. [jet]
