This is an embroidered eagle from a flag that was most likely made around the War of 1812. It measures 11 inches wide by 7 inches tall. The back still has the cloth from the flag attached. It features the American shield, talons with arrows and an olive branch. Some of the the motto "E PLURIBUS UNUM" remains.
