NICE ZOUAVE STYLE KEPI

$2,295.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 471-04

The dark blue wool body of this kepi is in excellent condition. There is not a moth hole or nip on it. The wool is clean and has maintained its color.

Red piping circles the kepi approx. 1.25 inches from the base. This piping is also used to outline the disc, the front and back seams, both sides and where the visor meets the body. The color of the piping is strong but unfortunately there are approx. nine small breaks in the piping either from use or stress over time. These breaks are scattered evenly around the kepi.

There are no side buttons or chinstrap. The visor is stitched with a bound edge. It is holding firmly in place and exhibits only light wear.

The interior has a black colored sweatband. It shows some signs of use but it is completely intact. The interior body of the cap has two linings. One is attached to the underside of the crown while the other is the body lining that loosely gathers under the crown. Both linings are in good condition and made of a dark brown, almost black polished cotton.

This is a finely made Zouave style kepi.  [ad]
