Brown leather jacket with dark brown fur collar in very nice condition. Has knit waist band and cuffs. Both cuffs are a bit darker in color than the waist band and maybe period replacements.
Zipper is marked "Scoville." It is stiff but does operate properly.
The leather is in very good condition and is very soft. There is some light surface dirt from age and storage but nothing that detracts. Front has two flap pockets with closure buttons. Front chest and each sleeve show signs of removed insignia. Leather flap just inside zipper is marked “USN DC” in perforations
Lining is dark brown nylon. Tag inside reads "Jacket, Flying, Man's, Intermediate, Type G-1… DSA 100-69-C-1545…The Martin Lane Co, Inc." Size 40. [AD]
