Bare CW federal canteen, painted beige with crossed Confederate flags-[ battle flag & 1st National]. Painting was done in the late nineteenth- to early 20th century. A hanging wire is strung between the upper left & right sling keepers. Canteen exhibits center dents on both sides, and two small holes on the reverse. Else VG. An extremely colorful & intriguing relic.
