LIBBY PRISON SOUVENIR RATION

$65.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 573-26

This interesting souvenir probably comes from Charles Gunther’s Libby Prison War Museum. That museum operated from 1889 to 1899 and housed the Libby Prison which Gunther had moved from Richmond. Gunther is also known to have made many souvenirs to sell to visitors. He also had a Libby prison restaurant on site. This item marked “LIBBY PRISON RATIONS C.S.A.” is typical of the souvenirs sold at the museum and restaurant.  It measures 1 ¾” in diameter and about ¼” thick and is a chocolate brown color. Excellent condition. [jet]
