Small, vintage wool covered tin canteen features an albumen image of U.S. Grant in the center. Black lettering circling image reads, “WE DRANK FROM THE SAME CANTEEN / 1861-1865”. Original cork stopper with chain remain in place.
Measures 2 ¼” in diameter. Wool shows spotting on the front side, while reverse has scattered holes in the wool. Small piece of cork has broken off of the edge. Item still displays very nicely. [sl]
