Solid white metal top bar is embossed on the front with “G.A.R.” Suspended from this is a swallow-tailed black ribbon that meas. approx. 8.50 inches long x 2.50 inches wide. All decoration and wording is done in silver. At center is a GAR Membership badge. Between the badge and the top bar is a silver bar with an urn on top. Inside the bas is “HONOR THE NOBLE DEAD.” Beneath this bar is the words “IN MEMORIAM.” Below the center badge is “CHICKAMAUGA POST NO. 419 BURSON CAL.” Item is in good condition with 3 minor separations taped over on the back. Lettering is bright and the ribbon is very clean.
