Two piece medal. Top bar has pin on back and scrollwork design. Bar reads "Representative." Red, white and blue ribbon with anchor, cannon and rifle at bottom. Below this is a circular medal with the profile of a veteran at center. Inscribed around the edge is "W. F. Calhoun-Department Commander 1916." Reverse is inscribed "51st Annual Encampment-Department of Illinois GAR-Bloomington, Ill. June 6, 7, 8, 1917." William F. Calhoun served in the 133rd Pennsylvania Infantry from August of 1862 to May of 1863 and the 20th Pennsylvania Cavalry from February of 1864 to June of 1865.
