Top hangar has initials, “F.C.L.”, which stands for Fraternity, Charity, Loyalty, the motto of the Grand Army of the Republic. Original pin is on reverse. Suspended from this is a silk ribbon with a flag design. Drop is the standard star shaped G.A.R. medal encircled by a laurel wreath. Lettering in star reads, “LADIES OF THE GRAND ARMY OF THE REPUBLIC 1886”. Entire length measures 2 ¼”. Ribbon is very clean. [SM]
