Three piece medal has a decorative top hangar with, “G.A.R. SOUVENIR” and the star emblem. Suspended by two chains is the second medal which features images of three soldiers, labeled, “CROWFORDSVILLE’S HEROES / CANBY / MORGAN / HANSON”. Lower medal reads, “DEPT. OF INDIANA / CRAWFORDVILLE / MAY, 1909”.
Measures 4 3/8” long. Brass has darkened with age but still shows original gilt in areas. [sl]
