Circa 1870-1880 rectangular belt plate of cast brass. Central G.A.R. membership star device with “GAR” over the top. Has stippled background and flat edge border. Back features 1 ¾” wide belt hook and brass wire belt loop. Typical of what was worn by veterans of the G.A.R. Excellent condition. [jet]
