Three piece medal has a brass spread-winged eagle over crossed cannons as the top hangar. Suspended from this is a light blue silk ribbon behind a flag ribbon which holds the standard G.A.R. star medal.
Original packaging states that the medal was made from captured cannon metal.
Total length measures 3 ½”. Brass has retained its brightness. Blue silk has slightly yellowed at the edges. [sl]
