Top hangar is a spread winged eagle perched on crossed cannons and artillery shells. Reverse is maker marked, “PAT. MAY 4, 1886, JUNE 7, 1886”. Suspended from this is a silk ribbon with U.S. flag design. Center bar is made to look like a Major General shoulder strap with two stars. Medal at the bottom is the G.A.R. star.
Original pin is present on reverse on top hangar. Bar is missing part of pin on reverse. Ribbon has split and frayed near the bottom but can be tucked under to display nicely. Meaures 3 ¾” long . [sl]
