Superb GAR ribbon for the I.F. Quinby Drill Corps, Department of New York, participation at the GAR national encampment in Chicago on August 26th, 1900.  Bold embossing stands out beautifully on the gold colored silk badge.  GAR pin is eye-catching and the encampment medallion at center shows sharp detail.  I.F. Quinby Post (#409) of the Grand Army of the Republic was based in Rochester, NY.  There are three vertical pinholes in the top center of the ribbon.  Gold bullion tassels are in excellent condition.  Manufactured by Baltimore Badge and Novelty Company, formerly Torsch and Lee, of Baltimore, MD.  [JC]
