Top hanger reads, “REPRESENTATIVE”. Reverse sows original soldered straight pin. Hanging from this is a grosgrain U.S. flag ribbon and a bar that reads, “DECATUR”. Suspended from this is a round medal with an image of a bearded soldier. Circling image is lettering that reads, “DR. B.F. STEPHENSON, FOUNDER OF THE G.A.R.” Reverse of medal reads, “25TH ANNUAL ENCAMPMENT DEPARTMENT ILLINOIS / APRIL 9 & 10 G.A.R. 1891”.
Measures 3 ¾” long. Metal on bars has darkened, ribbon is good with no fraying. [sl]
