Top bar has scrolled top and the original pin on reverse. Bar has crossed rifles in a wreath with the GAR Coat of Arms at center supported by the letters “GAR.”
Suspended from the bar is a very nice red, white and blue stripped ribbon that meas. approx. 2.00 inches long x 1.50 inches wide. Ribbon has text in gold lettering that reads “56TH ANNUAL ENCAMPMENT GRAND ARMY OF THE REPUBLIC JUNE 6-7-8, 1922 UTICA, N.Y.”
At bottom is square shaped drop with the standing figure of an Indian with several teepees in the background. This is surrounded by “SEAL OF THE CITY OF UTICA – UNUNDADAGES.” At bottom is a riband with “UTICA, N.Y.”
Reverse of drop has maker’s mark.
Badge is in excellent condition. [ad]
