Top bar has scrolled top and the original pin on reverse. Bar reads “GAR-34TH ANNUAL ENCAMPMENT UTICA N.Y.”
Suspended from the bar is a very nice red ribbon approx. 2.00 inches long x 1.50 inches wide that holds a slotted bar that reads “DELEGATE 1900.”
At bottom is circular drop with a bust of a gentleman at center surrounded by “DEPARTMENT COMMANDER JOSEPH W. KAY.” Reverse has the GAR Coat of Arms surrounded by “WITH THE COMPLIMENTS OF THE CITIZENS OF UTICA, N.Y.”
Joseph W. Kay served as a Private in Company A, 10th New York Infantry from 1862 to 1865 and was wounded at Cold Harbor.
Badge is in excellent condition. [ad]
