Gold five-pointed GAR star, 1” in diameter, center engraving “Post 90 GAR / NY 134.” Mounted in small Riker box, 3.25 x 4.25, on dark blue velvet.  Highly attractive.

The 134th New York was mustered in September 1862, and attached to 2nd Brigade, 2nd division, 11th Army Corps. With this Corps it participated in the Battles of Chancellorsville, Gettysburg and Bristoe Station, before combining with the 12th Corps to become the new 20th Corps in the Army of the Cumberland, participating in the Atlanta Campaign and Sherman’s March to the Sea and through the Carolinas. During service the Regiment lost 43 men killed and mortally wounded 79 by disease for a total of 122.
