Top bar is in the shape of a Southern Cross of Honor with small oval profile portraits of Pettus and Morgan at bottom. Above them is a full colored enameled 2nd Confederate National flag. The enamel is solid with no loss. Around the arms of the cross is "BIRMINGHAM 1908 JUNE 9, 10 11." Pin is present on back. Suspended from this top bar is a red, white and red ribbon which shows some moderate wear from age. At bottom is a circular medal with a very nice engraving of the C.S.S. Alabama at center. The wording around the edges reads "18TH REUNION UNITED CONFEDERATE VETERANS." Very impressive looking badge.
