MODEL 1918 BAR RIFLEMAN’S BELT – FIRST PATTERN

Designed to allow the BAR rifleman to fire while walking. It has 4 large pockets to accommodate 8 magazines and two pockets for .45 pistol magazines. All have the “lift-dot” closure system. Right side has metal cup mounted on a piece of leather to anchor the butt of the BAR in the firing position. The center size adjustment belt is maker marked but it cannot be read due to adjustment buckle. “…6-18” marking can be made out. Right side is marked “LONG 6- 18” and the left is marked “LONG 6- 18.”

Belt appears to be in unissued condition with light to moderate surface dirt from age and storage.   [ad]
