Very solid and strong World War II fighting and survival knife with rectangular blade and aluminum grips. This type of machete was issued to USAAF and Australian air crews.

Machete measures 13” total length, blade measures 8 ¼”. Grip is marked, “H.N.” Hand scratched initials read, “CLW”. Maker’s mark on blade reads, “EAST BROS”. Blade shows light spotting. A couple of very tiny chips are present on true edge of blade.

Brown leather stitched and riveted sheath measures 13 ¾” long x 3” wide. Very light surface scuffing and crazing are present. Reverse has cracking. Straps are intact with no tears. All stitching is tight. Maker’s mark at the top reads, “GOLDSEAL 1944 SYDNEY” and, “F.P.” below strap.  [sm]
