Souvenir wood canteen with an image of Jennie Wade on one side and John Burns on the other. Original string is still attached to the tacks functioning as sling keepers and a little stopper functions as the cork (it is glued in place!). Stamped with black ink, one side reads “WOOD FROM LITTLE ROUND TOP / JOHN BURNS” and the other “GETTYSBURG JULY 1, 2, 3, 1863 / JENNIE WADE”.
Measures 1 ½” in diameter. Ink stamps and images show moderate wear. [cla] [PH:L]
