Three-quarter standing studio view of a well-uniformed Colonel Miles. He wears a double-breasted frock with a braid galoons on his sleeves and three stars clearly visible on his collar. The image is clear with very good contrast. The mount remains in excellent condition. A period pencil identification is found along the bottom edge of the mount. Photographer's backmark, Anderson & Blessing, New Orleans.
