LITHOGRAPH CDV OF THE CAPTURE AND DEATH OF JOHN WILKES BOOTH

$150.00 ON HOLD

Quantity Available: 1

Item Code: 160-346

Lithograph shows a burning tobacco barn with Booth at center throwing up his arms and dropping his crutches while off to the side is a figure representing Sergeant Boston Corbett looking through a crack in the barn wall after just firing his pistol. In front of the burning barn a mounted Union cavalryman has Booth’s accomplice David Harold in custody.

Lithograph is nicely done. Paper is good but the mount edges have been trimmed. One edge of the mount has an 1865 publication date.

Reverse has an advertisement for “DR. BICKNELL’S SYRUP! THE GREAT CHOLERA REMEDY.”

Very interesting card.    [ad] [ph:L]
