Seated studio view of a large, unidentified Confederate major in uniform. He wears a double-breasted frock with a single star on his collar and rank braid on his sleeves. The image is clear with good contrast. There is a period ink name on the mount below the photo but is not decipherable. Photographer's backmark, Riddle's Gallery of Art, Macon, Ga.
