This is a full sitting view of a man holding a rifle with a sleeping dog lying next to him. Man is wearing a dark colored frock coat and trousers with a white shirt and cravat.
Image is clear with good contrast. Some light oxidation has occurred.
Image comes housed in a half pressed paper case, which is in good condition. Decorative brass mat surrounds the image. Some of the brown cover has worn off of the spine.
This tintype was part of a unique collection of images that featured animals. [sm] [ph:L]
