Very clear tintype of a standing Union soldier posed cradling his Dahlgren rifle in his arms. He wears a dark forage cap, buttoned-up dark frock coat and matching dark trousers.
Contrast and clarity are excellent. Plate has a few dark specks off to one side but this is minor.
Image comes with decorative brass mat and stamped brass frame.
Cloth case is in nice condition. [ad][ph:L]
