This US shoulder belt plate was affixed to the front of the shoulder belt for the infantry cartridge box. It features the spread-winged eagle design. Brass face is “crusty” and slightly dirt covered. Complete lead fill on reverse with both iron loops and remaining leather thong; back side was coated to preserve.
In good “dug” condition. Recovered at Cold Harbor, Virginia. [jet][ph:L]
