P.A.C.S.” Spine, cover boards and eps recently rebound in cloth, overlaid with original brown, glazed cloth covers. (Includes original endpaper insert w/penciled inscription—“Henry Scott/ Genl. Hospital No. 18”( New black leather spine label w/gilt lettering. 5.25 x 7.5”. 264 pp, w/fldg. form and two appendices. Original covers exhibit slight wear w/one minor scuff. Text slightly yellowed, while remaining entirely legible. Else VG plus, & handsome.
Henry B. Scott enlisted as a surgeon (date unknown), and had service in Field & Staff w/the 41st Virginia Militia Infantry. Superb Confederate medical collectible, ID’D to a surgeon. Further research certainly a possibility. [jp]
