Circular brass case meas. approx. 1.75 inches across. Case has affinely chased line around one edge and another at center.

Upon lifting the lid the compass face is exposed. It is of German silver with the points of the compass engraved on the face and filled with black enamel or paint. The compass also has an unmovable bezel ring with graduations of degrees from 0 to 360.

Compass still works as does the lock on the side. All is in very nice to excellent condition.  [ad] [ph:L]
