Small leather box to hold friction primers were carried on the belt (past terminology designated this type box as a Navy fuse box). The outer flap is smooth and mostly clean with only light crazing. Outer flap is stamped, “N.Y., P.N.H” which indicates that this fuse box was made in the Navy Yard at Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The latch tab is sewn to the underside of the flap and is in excellent condition.
The body of the box has some light wear but is otherwise good. The bottom of the box has the brass pear shaped finial while the reverse has a single wide belt loop.
All of the stitching is still tight. [sh]
