The full title of this work is “FOR HOME AND THE SOUTHLAND” by John Zwemer and published by Butternut & Blue, Baltimore, Maryland in 1999 as part of their “ARMY OF NORTHERN VIRGINIA SERIES.”

Book is hardbound with red cloth covers and the title embossed in gold ink on cover and spine.  Dust jacket is in excellent condition with an Army of Northern Virginia battle flag at center.

Volume meas. approx. 6.25 x 9.25 inches and runs 225 pages with index and roster. Interior is very clean.

The 48th Georgia served from the Peninsula through Appomattox seeing action in 150 battles and skirmishes.
