Hardcover volume meas. approx. 9.50 x 6.00 inches and runs 529 pages with a 9 page index. The volume is covered with marbled cloth with a red leather spine and corners. Covers show light to moderate wear from rubbing. Title is embossed on the spine. Interior has marbled endpapers.

Full title reads “THE ROYAL MILITARY CHRONICLE OR BRITISH OFFICERS MONTHLY REGISTER AND MENTOR VOL 1 EMBELLISHED WITH SUPERB ENGRAVINGS BY CARDON, SERIVEN. Volume was printed in London 1811.

The volume has numerous engravings of British officers and several fold-out maps of the Peninsular War
