Good, full label amber chloroform bottle dating to c. 1860-1880. Stands approx. 6 1/2" tall; 2 1/2" in diameter at base. Cork present, small portion missing. Small amount of paper remains around neck, tied with a string. Nice paper label; yellowed with age, otherwise good. Engraving of a factory at center. Reads, "ONE POUND / CHLOROFORMUM / CHLOROFORM, U. S. P. / Contains about 1 per cent. Alcohol. / No. 15. Guaranteed under the Food and Drugs Act, June 30, 1906. / POWERS - WEIGHTMAN- / ROSENGARTEN CO. / Manufacturing Chemists. / PHILADELPHIA". Bottle is empty.
