(TICE CSA200A / ALBERT CS101). Coat sized button with a face that consists of a large block letter “A” on a plain field. Rim of face is slightly raised. There is some wear to the gilt of the face but most of it remains. Face is free of dings and dents.
Reverse has the original shank and a depressed maker mark of “H T & B MANCHESTER”
Nice example of a button that came to the Confederacy through the blockade.
