Top hangar is in the shape of a shield with a colorful Confederate battle flag in the background. Shield has a raised image of the Macon City Hall which dates to 1837, and the monument to the women of the Confederacy in the foreground, which was erected in 1911. Banner has very small wording that reads, “WOMEN’S MONUMENT AT CITY HALL”. Larger wording on shield reads, “MAY 7-9, 1912 / 22ND UCV REUNION / MACON GA.”
Suspended from this is a round brass medal with a raised image of the last meeting of Generals Lee and Jackson at Chancellorsville. Image is surrounded by a laurel wreath and wording that reads, “LAST MEETING OF LEE AND JACKSON”.
Total length measures 2 ¾”. Brass has a nice, even patina. [sl]
