This archivally framed print produced by artist Don Troiani measures 36 ¾” x 32”. Overall excellent condition. Does have an accompanying artist signed COA. Print is signed and number 908/1000.
Print is a depiction of The Irish Brigade (69th New York Volunteers) commanded by General Meagher as it advanced to the relief of the 9th Massachusetts Volunteers at the Battle of Gaines' Mill, Virginia. The 9th was also an Irish Regiment and carried a distinctive green regimental flag, very different from those used by the Irish Brigade. [ld]
