Mid war bond issued from the Confederate Capital at Richmond, Virginia. The bond is dated February 20, 1863 and is not numbered. The center design is an image of Christopher Gustavus Memminger, Confederate Secretary of the Treasury. Lithograph was done by is Evans & Cogswell of Columbia, South Carolina. At the bottom are 11 coupons. The first was redeemable July 1, 1863 and the last on July 1, 1868. Bond is in very good condition with a few faint creases. All ink inscriptions are readable. [sl]
